connecting to oracle database on windows NT 4.0 machine using DBI

hi

I installed DBI and DBD-Oracle modules and trying to connect oracle database with simple perl script using DBI->connect() but getting an error that MSVCR71.dll is missing. Im working on Windows NT 4.0 machine.



Any help is appreciated

Do you have the Oracle client libraries installed on the PC? Can you connect to the Oracle server using sqlplus?

yes ofcourse,

I could connect to oracle server through sqlplus.

when I tried to connect through perl script its giving error that "msvcr71.dll" is missing.

I was just checking for obvious problems - you'd be surprised how often that kind of thing goes wrong.

Sorry, but I know next to nothing about Windows DLLs, so I have no idea what that file is for of what is causing the error.
