Hi,

1) DBI is Perl's solution to interacting with SQL databases.
2) The docs for DBI can be accessed from the command line of any system DBI is installed on by simply typing perldoc DBI. For that matter all Perl documentation can be accessed that way.
3) Yes, but see MySQL web site for stats.

I typed "perldoc DBI" but nothing was found. Where can I get DBI?

This means you need to install DBI module.
if your using win32 then go to your ms-dos prompt and type ppm .
Then at your ppm> (prompt)
then type install DBI
and this will install the module for you
once this procedure is done
then type perldoc DBI..

Ofcoarse you can do that in one line.

ppm install DBI
