Basic question on using Win32::ODBC

Using an old version of this, old version of perl, like 5.8.

Could this module or not closing the created DB objects cause major performance problems on the MS SQL database itself, or would the database be isolated from that sort of thing?

Problems seen on the DB are errors pointing to out of memory but there is plenty available, and processing taking a long time.

Not much to go on, but just a shot in the dark for anyone who may have some clue.

Thank you for your time.

That's quite an exxageration. Wink

20 years ago, it was stil Perl 4.

Perl 5.000 was released on October 17, 1994.

OK, having said that, Perl 5.8 is not very recent, it was first released on July 18, 2002. The latest version of Perl 5.8 (5.8.9) was released on December 14, 2008.
