perl shareware

I did not know where ot put this post so I'm sorry if I misplaced it...
I would like to create shareware out of a few nifty programs I've made.. I can convert them to exe's (with perl2exe, if anyone else wants any more info on the proggie just ask me) but I've yet to find a program that can create a shareware out of an exe... well actually i found one, kgl unlocker, but it asked for a registration fee... AND a fee for each program it encodes. Any ideas anyone? thanks

Re: perl shareware

Hello PGScooter,

The best solution to make shareware is to make two version of your program, one limited in some way (time or capabilities, like only processing 100 lines, etc etc) and a complete version (with a serial in it so it'll help if someone spread copies), this is called crippleware.

Although i didnt put my hands on it, i'm quite sure that some peoples could reverse perl2exes... so crippleware is nearly ALWAYS the best protection you can use.
