Hey
On my comp i can stick my perl files anywhere. And to be able to run it in my opinion it is best to find commandcom. If you installed perl correctly you can just double click your perl file and it will execute but it goes by so fast it takes all the output with it. That is why i use command com it doesnt exit out after the program is done. I hope that helps

:)

Yes i am a palm tree. What are you plantist or something!?

Hi!

I guess your hello-world-script is meant to be a cgi script, and you want to see the results in your web browser.
So, you have to put the script into the cgi-bin subdirectory that is located below the folder where you installed Apache.
If your script's first line is correct (i.e. contains the correct absolute path to your perl interpreter), e.g.:

Code
#!c:\program files\perl\bin\perl.exe

you should now be able to run your script by entering

Code
http://localhost/cgi-bin/nameofyourscript.pl

in your browser. I hope this helps.

Thanks you all
I at last locate my cgi-bin It is at
C:\Programe Files\Apache Group\Aproche\cgi-bin

I copy my text.cgi there

#!c:\program files\perl\bin\perl.exe

print "Content-type: text/html\n\n";

print "hello world!\n";

Then I run
http://localhost/cgi-bin/test.cgi

It is un-work

Why...

Hi!

May have several reasons. Perhaps your httpd.conf is not properly set up. It's located in the apache\conf directory. Read the instructions in that file carefully, and modify it as appropriate.
But, what does happen if you enter the URL in your browser? I guess there's some kind of error message? You can also take a look at the error.log file in the apache\logs directory.

This is to inform you that I get work done.
And I will like to share my previous failure experience i.e.

PATH TO PERL

so my first line of the script is
#!c:\perl\bin\perl.exe

instead of
#!c:\program files\perl\bin\perl.exe
