connecting to internet Can't Post

i'm using perl 5 and just starting to learn it. I want to know how to connect to the internet. i see all these examples but none of them are explained. can someone plz explain how all those functions work & how to use them?

I think you meant how to work with sockets, right?
oh well it is too big topic to be discussed over the net so how about reading some materials?
read this:

and, of course, perldoc :)

perldoc LWP::Simple
perldoc LWP::UserAgent
perldoc HTTP::Request

If you read and understand all this you will be in a damn good shape not only with sickets but with perl itself
