problems with uploading in ascii

Hello.
I'm going crazy with a cgi file that won't uploads in ASCII!!
I've unzipped the files, made the appropriate changes and uploaded them, everything was OK. Later on I'd to change something in one of the files and I couldn't any more upload it in ASCII, I thought it could have been corrupted so I unzipped the file again and made just the routine changes (perl root) but noway. I cannot upload it in ASCII any more, I've tried even in another comp. NOWAY!
It makes me crazy! Does someone have any idea which the problem could be? I would appreciate a lot your suggestions.
