post to cgi no submit Can't Post

If any one could help it would be great
Im in a perl cgi and i need to post to a different
cgi. I tried a form But i dont need or want a submit.
I need it to not wait for a submitt button or
action. Just want it once its done its code
and altered the params its got to post and
leave to that new cgi.
Is there anyway to post and go to an outside
cgi in a form or an other way but with post
i tried a redirect but its using a get and displays
my params in the url.

many thanks for any help
regards steve

Re: post to cgi no submit [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi,
I think the best thing to do might be to print the form in a HTML page, but with all the type's as "hidden". And in the body tag, put this:

<body onLoad="document.nameofform.submit();">

Where nameofform is whatever you named the form. :) Then, for tht page, you can just say "Processing information" or something, while the onLoad automatically posts the info to the next script. :) I don't think there's a way to do it without having this "middle-man" page, except using get.. :)
