Reading/Writing to MySQL databases Can't Post

I was wondeirng if anybody could possibly tell me how to read and write to and from a mysql database, like how i can create new entries in a database. I do not know much about MySQL, but it is really important that i find out how to do this, or else i cant really continue on with my project. Please if somebody could help me with this i would appreciate it very much. Thanks.

Check out the MySQL database documentation at http://www.mysql.com/.
Also check out the documentation for the DBI and DBD::mysql modules.

Here's a link to a forum at DevShed. It's the MySQL forums over there. You can probably count on someone over there to help you out.
MySQL Forum

Also, do check out the documentation on MySQL.com
