Real-time Credit Card Processing Can't Post

I've finished creating a web shop. My last step would only be now, that if a customer wants to buy something, he would enter his credit card number, and my script would contact a bank, which would automatically check if that credit card is valid.
Do some banks allow for such services? And if they do, would I go about creating it with the LWP Module.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Real-time Credit Card Processing [In reply to] Can't Post

You'll need to find a credit card gateway with an internet-based terminal (such as Authorize.net) to process credit cards in real time. Once you have a merchant account that can use this internet gateway, they will provide you with code to use.

Authorize.net isn't the only internet gateway -- there's also PayNet (http://master-visa.com) among others.
