tomweddell newbie Jul 21, 2001, 7:30 AM Post #1 of 1 (471 views) convert mainframe packed BCD Can't Post I have to convert a packed BCD mainframe file that contains 8 byte dates packed into 5 bytes. The Cobol code looks like 9(8) and the character positions are from 241-245. Can anyone help. Do I use unpack or vec? Thank you in advance, Tom Weddell
