downloading help! Can't Post

i dont know the code in perl to download a file from an ftp site and put it in the directory of the perl script. any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.

The Net::FTP module contained in the libnet package does exactly what you want. Have a look at the Net::FTP manpage and you will find some example code to solve your problem right at the top.
