cron job Can't Post

I need to write a script for a cron job.

But what is the differences between a perlscript for the web and a perlscript for a cron job.
Need a cron job need some output?
Have a cron job a timeout?

No, but if there is output, it will be emailed to your login account (at least every version of cron on UNIX(ish) systems I've come across does).

No, but you should be wary of multiple instances of scripts running because cron ran your script again when the last one hadn't finished.

To prevent that, you can employ a semaphore or something similar to alert other invocations of your script to the fact there's already a copy running.

Sorry, but do you have an example from that.
I have never hear from that.
