language translator? Can't Post

I have been looking for a language translator that would be a perl module that I could call a method/function with a text string, a language (IN) and a language(OUT).
It would return the text string in the OUT language.

Ever seen one that works? (free?) that half-way works?

I have a forum set up that allows the users to choose the language to display the structure of the forum text in (just english and spanish currently). But the content of the forum is completely english. I'd like to have it varaibly output in the language of the reader...

I'd love to hear feedback on this? Do you think this is a nutty thing to do? way too difficult a task? (especially for free?)

cheers!

ps. forum is at: http://www.js-examples.com/forum/

Just link to AV's Babelfish. Smile

If you're determined to do it 'in site', then have a look at WWW::Babel or WWW::Search::Translation (?).
