Scipt to Scipt Can't Post

Hi,
I have spent hours trying to set up two simple perl scripts on different servers to parse data between themselves. I am totally lost and would appreciate it if someone could give me an example of the two scripts. I have been using LWP UserAgent to try to achieve my goal and I'm not even sure if that is the best solution.

What I want to do is -
1/ call scipt_1 from an html form (This is no problem)
2/ script_1 sends some data to script_2 (on another server) which processes the data and sends it back to scipt_1. A simple example would be to send the value "Fred" from scrip_1 to script_2 and have script_2 send back the value "Flinstone" to script_1.
3/ script_1 generates an html page to output the result (This is no problem)

If possible I would like to see an example of the two scripts. Short and basic showing -
a/ how to send the data (in script_1),
b/ how to receive the data (in script_2),
c/ how to send the processed data (in script_2) back to scrip_1,
d/ how to receive the processed data (in script_1).

As far as the browser output goes, the user should be taken from the initial html form to the output page generated by script_1 by hitting the submit button on the html form.
All the processing is done in the background without the user knowing they have actually accessed script_2 on another server.
I am doing this with two scripts because users will upload script_1 to their own servers and will not have access to scipt_2 which is on my server. I will control how the data is processed.
I hope someone can understand what I am trying to do and point me in the right direction.
Thank you.
Simon.
