unique trackable links for users

i need a script which will generate unique links for each user on a approx 2000 mailing list(ie w*w.blahblah.index.html?mermber1,w*w.blahblah.index.html?mermber2 etc),i need to email the link to them which will give them access to a part of my site not visible to regular visitors,but also id like to be able to know that the link has been clicked(similar to ecards i think)is this possible? does a script already exist that will acomplish this?
