Why can't I access HTML files from cgi-bin directory? Can't Post

I have a script that creates html files and stores them in a directory. I created a directory with permissions 775. I assume the HTML files produced have a default permission determined by my server administrator... and it is 664. Why wouldn't I be able to view these files through my browser? I get an internal server error if I do.
Help would be appreciated.

If you have a Apache server, enter the server and try this first:

tail /home/logs/error_log

(my error_log is on "/home/logs")
This will give more info about possible errors

Anyway, have you tried to chmod 755 the Html files also? Maybe this should do it.

Thanks for the help...

I did try changing the permissions but I am not allowed. I assume this is because the files are created from my server and only the administrator can edit them.

Hi

It depends on how your server administrator has your cgi-bin setup. On one of my web server I cant view and files from the cgi-bin except for cgi script and on the other server i can view any files in the cgi-bin.
