very green Newbie Can't Post

Totally new to this cgi stuff, and to this list.

So, uh, if i want to stretch learning what i can do with this cgi stuff, can i use cgi to create html page files onto floppy discs too?
or am i thinking of what i should just do with Word and/or html?

If your running perl on your own system you could write to your floppy drive. Perl can be used for a very wide variety of things. Counters, Databases, Creation of HTML, and the list goes on almost as far as your imagination.
