News/Article Script Can't Post

Hello - I have started a programming website, and now, the amount of news/article/tutorial/etc posting individuals has gotten out of hand. That is why a News and Article script would help me out a lot.

What I am mainly looking for is the Article script, because I would always be able to combine one of the tons of news scripts readily available. Users are able to log into the script, and depending on their amount of access (news/articles/tutorials/etc checkboxes), they can add stuff to the site (server supports ssi).

The script should update two pages. The contents page, and the script should also create the main page with contents on it. The thing about the programming page is that every section (C++, Perl, VB, HTML, etc) is going to have articles, tutorials, samples, etc. This is why a form of "categories" would be useful, so i wouldn't have to use a separate script for each section.

Whether this should be done in Perl, PHP, mySQL, or others, I have no idea about. Help me out please...

Check and take a look at the section called "content management systems" in either PERL or PHP. There are quite a few that can do what you describe. I currently use NewsPro on my site, which is a pain in the ass to set up but now that I have it going it works fine.

As always, also check - loads of scripts there.

Safe swoops
