I need an ecommerce / retail data base and processes to drive HTML pages. A flat file process is fine. My web site has grown to many products...more than what can be handled manually in each HTML page. So, I now need a central database that carries all the product data (catagory, product number (key), title, description, shipping weight, price, link to the picture, etc., etc.). A search will find the right record, then use that data to populate all HTML pages by way of plugged variables in a template. This is a common need for ecommerce and retailers. I am hoping to find someone that has already solved this problem with a script or set of scripts that they would be willing to share. I would rather find a free CGI script system that I could modify, but would consider paying for the right process if need be. Please contact me if you know of a solution out there already written. You can contact me a perlguru@rkbventures.com You can see the site that needs this processing at http://rkbventures.com/!products/!products . Click on the first product to see the detail page. I want all the data you see on these pages to come from the database.....not be hard coded in the HTML pages. thanks. kb
