STMP Can't Post

Well, I found the other typo, the extra comma in the SMTP const statement. But now the script runs but then asks me to open or download. The error I downloaded was:
$smtp"
Execution of D:\test_sites\test.gnc-ss.com\cgi-bin\realmail.pl aborted due to compilation errors.

Any suggestions? Also does anyone have a good compiler / debugger for perl.

Re: STMP [In reply to] Can't Post

Try adding the -w flag to your first line, like this:

#!/usr/bin/perl -w

Alternatively, if you have telnet access, go to the directory your program resides in and type:

perl -w yourprogram.pl

This should give you more info about the error.

You can also type:

perl -d yourprogram.pl

to enter the perl debugger. Documentation on how to use the debugger is available by typing h when you enter the debugger (which you enter by using the perl -d yourprogram.pl)

Good luck!
