There are thousands of programs who do that, but does anyone know one that is free, safe and easy to use (and install) for a perl-knownothing like me?? GNR

Please be sure to read through the instructions -- it offers safety features that will prevent the use of the script as a spam relay (a common problem in many form mail scripts). Also, there's a setting for "emulate Matt's script" -- keep this set to 0.

When a form tries to use it, it won't work because of the lack of a 'referrer header' from my browser. Can you tell me what I do wrong? Should I include something in the HTML code of the page with the form, or should I change some settings in my browser? In fact, I don't even know what a referrer header is! GNR

Which means that someone can't copy your form onto their page and submit it from there -- the form has to reside on *your* server for security purposes. Just make sure that you have your domain name in the @referers list (both with and without the preceeding www.) and any variation that you can access your web site with -- like your ip number, "localhost" etc.
