Forum Status Can't Post

On what logic is the forum status text bases on?? (I mean that text under my username here) Sometimes it says "Addict" or "New User".

- What status texts are available, and when does a user get it???

Re: [yapp] Forum Status [In reply to] Can't Post

The list of user titles is this:

Code
0 => New User
5 => Novice
25 => Apprentice
50 => User
100 => Member
200 => Enthusiast
400 => Addict
700 => Old Hand
1000 => Veteran
5000 => Guru

When the old forum data was imported into this forum, it inserted the previous user's titles into the user record. In this forum, however, if there is a title in the record, it will use that title instead of autogenerating the title based on the number of posts.

I've been deleting the titles as it comes up. It's now showing you as an "Enthusiast".

Enthusiast? Am I really that much online at perlguru Tongue Blush
I just wondered what titles you had, nothing else Sly

BTW, can I use such titles for my forum aswell too? (if you don't mind, I don't want to "steal" anything, since I don't like people doing that with my ideas either)

I don't see why not. These titles are pretty consistent throughout forums that use titles.

Re: [Jasmine] Forum Status [In reply to] Can't Post

Three months later (tells you how much I pay attention), any idea why my title is "stranger"?

I think it's somewhat humorous (or possibly sad) that I (we) get so invested in a place like PerlGuru that my (our) title matters.

Your title has been corrected. Thanks for pointing it out.
