Redirecting pages to frames

I know how to redirect a page by using the print location function in Perl. This however always opens the page as a new page taking up all of the broswer window. I was wondering, if one can redirect a page to display it in a given frame instead? For instance if one has two frames named left and right is it possible to display a redirected page in just the right frame.
Hope someone might know of a clever trick
