How to protect the Perl source code? Can't Post

Hi, anyone know how to protect the perl code, because the code is visible and easy to stole or modify, thanks a lot!!

Thanks for the advise and sorry for no search the posts, I test perl2exe but is 30 day a evaluacion version and perlcc in perl 5.6.0 have problems but they are fixed in perl 5.6.1. Thanks for your help!!
