.htaccess Can't Post

when someone tries to access a page protected by the .htaccess a pop-up window appears asking for the username and password...

My question: What can I do, so instead of the pop-up window you had to enter the username and password in an HTML form created by a CGI...

I hope Im making myself clear...

"So you want to be a cowboy
Well you know it's more than just a ride
Guess you got to know the real thing
If you want to know the other side
Ain't nobody riding shotgun
In this world tonight"

Re: [kidd] .htaccess [In reply to] Can't Post

I am not sure if it would work, but if you had an html page with a form on it
to enter the user name and password and the action tag was that URL using the
GET method, would that bypass the pop up window? That would be my trial
attempt. I would be interested if you do find a solution if that does not work.

Good Luck,

print unpack"u*",pack "h*",$a,"\n\n";
