Added a submit file field to the form. You know - of the variety that the user clicks the Browse button to navigate to the file on their system, then when selected the path appears in the field and upon submitting it then is transfered to the server.

Oh, I see. You want users to be able to upload files.

Yes, there are some pretty big changes required in order to do that. You should look at the section on file uploads in the documentation for CGI.pm.
