Win32::OLE and word Can't Post

Does anyone know how I could create a word document and populate it using some data?? I have created a cgi form to collect parameters and I want to write them to database (which I have sorted!) and also output them to a file for e-mailing onto someone else. The only problem is the activestate manual does not make it clear! I also want to do this remotely ie on the server. I know you have to tell it something to do that.. Thanks in advance

Re: Win32::OLE and word [In reply to] Can't Post

This can be done, but you'll need to acquire a book or find some documentation that describes the Word object model. There are a number of books that describe how to script Word et al. using VBA (Visual Basic for Applications). Many VBA examples can be translated to Perl.

Oh, and this pretty much dictates that your web server be IIS or PWS.
