slim chance that somebody can help me!!! Can't Post

I have run into a new problem. The cause of the problem is most likely a mistake in my javascript, but it is possible somebody has an idea why this wont work:

i have a form that needs to be submitted to my cgi script. - when my html pages are on my server this doesnt work, however when i try to submit the form, and they are on my hard drive, (the cgi script is on the server) it works fine!
The html situation is a little tricky, i have a frameset which has two frames, (1 hidden) the other frame opens a window. When the user clicks a button on this page, it triggers a script held in the frameset page, which submits the form in the hidden frame. - i call this script from the new window as:
opener.timer(); this is probably the error, but because of the fact that it does work on my hard drive i was wondering if anyone else had stumbled across anything like this?

thanks (it probably is javascript probs, so i apologise for posting on this perl forum!)

splendid bob

You're definitely on to something when you say that it's most likely a problem in your javascript. The light may be better here, but a JavaScript forum is where you're most likely to get an answer that will help you.
