King_of_Dragons Novice Oct 11, 2002, 12:03 PM Post #1 of 4 (923 views) Help with perl image creating Can't Post I want to know how to make images with perl (like the graphical counters). What I will use it for is "house" creation, where I will make a javascript thing that will allow people to create their own "house" using a grid system and tiles, then convert the grid (which would be lots of tiny pics) to ONE picture (kinda like if you took a desktop screenshot and cropped it). Is this possible, and if so, how would I go about doing it?

It could be done simply using a JavaScript or an Applet. This way, it would be executed on the client machine and not take up the time of the server so that it could handle other requests. I'd recommend buying Graphics Programming with Perl, or you may get lucky and it'll be at your local library.
