Using use Strict; Can't Post

I've programmed Perl for a while but have never had a reason to use Strict; before. Im trying to get it to work with a script I currently have but am having trouble. I do understand that undefined variables will result in an error but I just need a bit of direction:

a) does Perl on NT function with Strict; ?

b) What is Strict really looking for, is it just variables?

Im asking this because I dont have any access to error logs so all I get is an error message via the browser and I have no clue what went wrong or on what line.

Thanks for the help

Re: [Fred123] Using use Strict; [In reply to] Can't Post

a) It's "strict", not "Strict".
b) The strict pragma works on every platform perl runs on, AFAIK.
c) Try perldoc strict to see what strict does, or use this link: http://www.perldoc.com/perl5.6.1/lib/strict.html
