Help in calling a subroutine. Can't Post

HI,
I want to call a subroutine, everytime, when i click the button.
I was doing
$addbuild = $query->param('addbuild');
if ($addbuild) {
&addconf;
}
It was doing only once.
for example,
I have a textbox and a submit button which adds data. The first time when the submit button is clicked it goes to the same form and gets $query->param and calls &addconf subroutine. If the user enters in the textbox second time and clicks the button, it should call the same subroutine, and third time so on. How do i do it. Please help me.
Thanks
