Limiting mySQL entries Can't Post

Hi,
I was wondering if you can limit entries in a mySQL table somehow with a mySQL command when creating the table or similar? Or is the only way to read the db and count entries and just not write to it if it equals the limit?
Thanks

As far as I know, you can't limit the number of rows a table can have. You can do a quick count of existing rows by executing the following MySQL command:

Code
SELECT count(*) FROM table_name

and then compare it to a number you have defined elsewhere.

That's what I thought. Oh well.
Thanks for responding!
