ActiveState's Perl ditrabution vs the one from perl.com?

I'm running a linux server and was thinking of updating my perl version on it. I noticed that ActiveState puts out their own perl distrubution and was wondering how it compared to what you can get from perl.com, or CPAN, or whoever puts out the official perl? The reason I ask is that I run Redhat and activestate puts out an RPM that will probably be easier to install. But I don't want to install it if it's limited in some way. TIA
