cacheout module Can't Post

I'm using the cacheout module to write files to a directory. The files are writing out successfully. However the problem is that when I try to append to the files, it simply overwrites whatever I put in. I'm using require cacheout.pl and issuing this in the program:

$msgid = /export/home/root/filename
$fmtline = $_;
&cacheout($msgid);

print $msgid $fmtline;

Can anyone tell me how to get the function to append. Thanks.

Re: [jamesfinnegan] cacheout module [In reply to] Can't Post

I can't find any reference to a "cacheout" module on CPAN and it's not a standard part of Perl. You'll need to let us know where you got the module from before we ban be any help.

Or, better, explain what you're actually trying to do and we might be able to tell you a standard way to do it.
