As im completely new to perl scripting im not having basic idea of perl syntax. can anybody help me to finish of with this .. im not getting the syntax to execute the ".sql" file through perl script. when im executing it in "sql>"prompt im getting it. specifically the following is the file i need to execute "SQL> @%ORACLE_HOME%\rdbms\admin\cmpdbmig.sql" how to execute it through perl . any clue will be gr8ly appreciated. thanx..

You have two basic options. You can either use system to run an sqlplus command to load the file.
