yellowman Novice Aug 17, 2006, 11:46 AM Post #1 of 3 (185 views) Registry Query Can't Post Is it possible to query the registry of remote machines for information using Perl? The purpose of the script is that I want to query all of the windows (XP SP2) machines on my domain and come up with a quantified count of how many people are running a certain piece of software. Is there a module that can fetch this information? Thanks.

A quick search on CPAN produced a link to the Tie::Registry module, which sounds as though it's just what you're after. Regards Rich If it aint broke then don't try to fix it
