Cookie Anyone?

Cookie Anyone? Can't Post

I'm trying (not very successfully) to get a cookie set using Matt's HTML Cookie Lib. I have a very limited knowledge of CGI and no idea whatsoever about cookies, even though I've been trying to figure it out all day!

Brief rundown of what I'm attempting to setup:
I have a few contests which people can enter 10 times daily. To make life easier, I'd like to set a cookie that will remember the two fields that need to be filled out on the contest form (Name and Email Address) so if they return in the future to enter again they do not have to type in their name or email address.

Because there are multiple contests which they can enter on the site, the cookie needs to be available to all the entry forms.

Another feature I'd like to incorporate into the site which I assume would be controlled by a cookie is a way of limiting people to entering a specific contest 10 times only (because some people really go overboard!), and perhaps display the number of times they have entered the contest on the page if they come back to enter again.

What I can't figure out:
Everything, LOL! Just kidding, but only just. I understand that I have to firstly get the cookie, or set a cookie if there are none present. After that, I'm lost! I can't figure out where to put the bits and pieces of code in my CGI script or if I need to add anything into the HTML, etc.

As you can see, my knowledge must be pretty limited if I can't figure this stuff out after the time I have spent trying to setup a simple cookie script! Any help will be greatly appreciated, the simpler the better Smile
