You need to be a little less specific.

Seriously, I've never heard of this function, nor do I know where you heard of it, and I've never seen the code for it.

Here is the code from which it came.

# Let newgetopt handle the command line options

require 'newgetopt.pl';
$com_chk=&NGetOpt("i=s","o=s");

# Set the target directory to the one specified in the command line.

$directory = $opt_i;

# Open the directory and read the image files in to a single array.
