I have a freebsd server that was build back in early 90's and within this server is a database that uses a perl script to index new text content to be searched. Well, for the last 1yr it has not worked due to the content has changed. It's still text, but the fields are different. I have attempted to hire programmers to fix this and always end up with Linux guys(thats not a bad thing). However, they can't do the work and request for me to transform my whole server into a Linux server.

I'm hoping that some of you guys here can tweak the script so it will begin to find the new content as well as the old.

I'm in Los Angeles, CA.

dkudzin@yahoo.com is my contact e-mail.

Thank you for your time.

Well, thats part of the problem. None of us here know anything about this stuff. I believe its a mySQL, and the system is running freebsd 4.3.
