Catch variables from xternal program

Catch variables from xternal program Can't Post

Hi, my doubt is, I have a Perl script which one lauch a xternal program with system () command. But when this is over, I would like take some values from this xternal program (before it's killed).
Any sugestion?

use qx// instead of system():

my $results = qx/some program/;

now you can parse $results for the information you want.
