CLI appl in perl with CTK or Curses or ...? Can't Post

I would like to write a CLI version of on existing GUI.

That application is basically doing queries to a sybase db. Data being stored in a dynamic tree structure inside the database, so i need my perl script to be able to manage menus/submenus dynamicaly.

Then, i saw a more or less friendly CLI that is using Ctk and i think it would be the kind of look and feel that i need for my CLI

But that CTK is for TCL 7.4 and i canīt really add a new distribution (moreover very old) on a production server running already TCL 8.4

I tried to install CTK but my configure was still searching for old TCL eventhough i tried to force paths while launching the ./configure.

Anyway, i was just wondering if someone could tell me what is the best choice when it comes to program a nice CLI in perl.

Thank you for your help,
