Need routine to rsync via Perl Quote | Reply | Private Reply

Hi all,

I'm shopping for a programmer who can assist with the following.

I'm an intermediate level perl coder, but have no Unix skills. I want to use Rsync to mirror a folder on one server to a folder on another server. Rsync is needed, as I'll be mirroring many folders every day, and only want to move data that needs to be moved.

The routine should accept data such as:

- source IP
- source folder path
-destination IP
-destination folder path
-destination login/pwd

I'll be reading this info from a database, and performing the mirroring operation on each data set.

I'll probably want some consulting to translate your code in to code that is more familar to my style, so I can tweak and modify your code for other situations.

I'm guessing this is 1-2 hours work. Not a rush job. Will pay immediately upon completion via Paypal. If first job works out, additional small jobs will likely be requested over time.

If interested, please post or PM, thanks.

Hopefully, you already know rsync, but here's a useful link offered by a helpful poster elsewhere on the board:
