Question about Updating Webpages through CGI Can't Post

I am very new to perl and I had a question the article entitled "Web Page Updates Through CGI" found on http://www.perlarchive.com/guide/jump.cgi?ID=1041 .

With this script can I make the form script write to any .html file on my site?

I am building a Yahoo-like web directory and I want to be able to update a number of web pages in the directory as I have entries.

I know that line 4 in the script: $PageLocation="data/homepage.html"; has something to do with this but I do not know what to do...

...if this script can help me somewhat until the website gets popular, it would be a big help

Really I would like to be able to receive a form mail entry...confirm the addition...receive a credit card #...then click to add the submission... (if anyone can suggest a script for this)
