64-bit string Can't Post

I'm trying to use a SOAP Lite web service. In one of the function calls, a parameter must be a string converted to a 64-bit binary array. I can't seem to convert the string.

Any help would be appreciated.

You can convert data using pack(), but I don't even know what a 64 bit binary array is so I doubt I can help much more than recommend pack().

What I'm trying to do is to port some C# code to Perl. In the C# code, a parameter sent to the WebService is a byte array. I need to convert this in base-64 to work with the WebService.

I've tried using pack(), but it doesn't work for me. It doesn't recognize the 'q' template.

Your question is out of my range of knowledge and experience. I think the best thing I can do is recommend you to www.perlmonks.com
