It seems that everytime I go to the bookstore to look for a PERL book there are less and less new ones. Yet there is a new crop of new languages popping up almost every week. Most web pages I visit use either ASP or PHP languages. Seldom do I see perl pages being served. Is PERL loosing its popularity? You would think that its ease of learning would make it more popular than it is. PHP and ASP seems to be the desired languages of the day. I love perl and though I am no expert by any means I have managed to write some very large web applications including a robust LMS, but I cant help to think that I may be missing the boat not adopting some of the popular labguages. Any opinions or comments?
