Strange Error When Adding Comments Above Array Init Can't Post

When I do the following, my script doesn't run and throws an error.

Add code to this:

@product_table = ();

So it looks like this:

# This holds the detail items for the products in the cart. It is formated as
# html and ready to drop into the ordered items table.
@product_table = ();

It's pretty much making me crazy. Am I missing some caveat about comments?

Just to clarify, I'm adding a couple of comment lines and it causes the cgi script to bomb.

Nothing wrong with what you posted. I have no idea why that would cause your script to error out.

Thanks, it must be something to do with my upload. I'm doing a chmod 755 on it and it must be something with the fact that it's been loaded into memory. That's the only thing I can think of but still not sure.

Are you uploading in ASCII (text) mode? I would try that if you're not or you're not sure. See your FTP programs help files for "transfer mode".
