XML::RSS Module Install Can't Post

I'm trying to install XML::RSS module from PPM manager but everytime fail to extract the file. Please help using ActivePerl on a XP OP.

I'm running Windows 2003 R2 Standard Edition SP2 on a Virtual Machine. PPM version 4.03 and Active Perl Version 5.10.0.1004

Error: Can't extract files from c:\path to the TEMP dir

I'm installing it from http://cpan.winnipeg.ca/PPMPackages/10xx/packages.xml

We need more details.

Are you installing from the command line or through the ppm gui?

What error message does it give when it fails?

What version of Perl and PPM are you using?

Is the ppm repository that you're getting the module from for the same version of Perl as the Perl installation on your system?

Worked for me using the PPM GUI. Installed XML::RSS 1.36 and nine dependencies. Activeperl 5.8.8 Windows98

pretty much, its just my old test server. I have better/newer computers but I don't use them for the internet, strictly for business purposes.

Thanks anyway, I want to fetch rss feeds from diffirent websites and save it to a xml or html file on my local machine. Do you know of any good script that can do this for me?

Please give me more info, command line ppm open the gui and what package did you install it from? etc

I start PPM. It downloads the pack list of the repositories I have added to my repistory list, which are:

activestate
bribes
uwinnipeg
trouchelle

after the pack lists are downloaded and checked and updated (this takes several minutes on my computer), I marked the XML::RSS module for install then click the action icon that runs the commands waiting to be run.

Thats it.

What XML-RSS version did you install? 1.37?

According to my post above it was version 1.36

Thanks for your help, just installed 1.37. I had a network problem at work that didn't allow zip files to be downloaded, our network block that kind of downloads from the internet.
