.htaccess and ssi Can't Post

Is the following possible ? If so--How ?

When you have a (.htaccess) protected directory containing files with (.shtml) extensions and these files contain SSI calls to (.html) files that must be updated daily and are in another unprotected directory how do you
get your browser to show the data that the SSI calls make in the protected directory that contains the (.htaccess) file ? Or is this possible ?

The following is the contents of the .htaccess file.

<LIMIT GET POST>
order deny,allow
deny from all
</LIMIT>

Re: .htaccess and ssi [In reply to] Can't Post

Nope, won't let you at all. What you are allowed to do is run the ssi from your mian directory that's public, and have the script go to the protected directory to fetch the data from any data bases you have, but it won't be permitted to run from that directory.
