Parsing thunderbird email file Can't Post

Hi

I was able to locate a file which contains all the mails in a particular folder. (Its written by thunderbird)

1) Which module would help me extract each message separately. ? including the smtp header, subject, body etc

2) given a mail, any module which would extract the fields in the mail.. like the 'to' list.. 'cc' list .. 'message-id' etc
Mail::Box::Message has those.. but i did not find how to create an object given a mail's text.

Thanks

Re: [terrordrone] Parsing thunderbird email file [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi terrordrone,

You could do what I did and Google 'perl thunderbird' before you post to the forum. I found the following in about 2 minutes:

http://www.captain.at/howto-thunderbird-mailbox-checker.php
http://ask.metafilter.com/86158/How-should-I-convert-a-Thunderbird-inbox-into-text-files

After you've done your homework, come back if you are still stuck.

Good luck,

Larry
